It’s the first time Fury has held an official title since he toppled Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015, after which he spiralled out of control on a path that almost ended his career – and his life.

In the months after the Klitschko fight, Fury started drinking heavily and ballooned to almost 29 stone in weight.

Fury has since revealed he lost the will to live as he slipped into a depression which eventually led to a failed drugs test, and he was forced to relinquish his world titles.

His cousin and fellow professional heavyweight Nathan Gorman recently told talkSPORT.com: “You couldn’t imagine it. I saw him when he walked into the gym when he was weighing over 28 stone.

“He came in do to some sparring.

“He was telling me he’s going to be the heavyweight champion of the world again.

“I looked at him and thought, ‘You’ve got ten stone to lose first! Never mind fighting the most dangerous man on the planet’.”

But after conquering his demons, Fury found a way to lose the required weight to become a champion again.

The 31-year-old came in at came in at 273lbs (19st 7lbs) for the second fight vs Wilder, and never looked sharper during a devastating performance.

To mark his incredible comeback, he shared the following post on Instagram showing just how much he has changed over the past few years.

And his body transformation really is quite, quite remarkable.
