Youngster rejoins his father’s former club after a spell in Spain with Valencia

Manchester United have signed Harvey Neville, the son of former star Phil, from Valencia.

The 15-year-old has been with the Spanish side since 2015 when his father joined the club as a coach.

Harvey quickly developed a good reputation within the academy and has reportedly impressed with his technical attributes, with some comparing him to Red Devils legend David Beckham thanks to his crossing from the right flank.

He stayed with Valencia, even when his father and uncle Gary left in 2016 and signed a contract with the Spaniards.

Now, though, he’s put pen to paper at Old Trafford, returning to Manchester United, where he previously spent a spell in the academy.

Father Phil is currently manager of England’s Women, and was thrilled by the news, on Instagram: “Proud of you @harvey.neville 🔴⚪⚫ go follow your dreams!!!”

The youngster himself was equally delighted having joined the club he loves, posting: “I am very proud and excited to have signed for the club I have supported my whole life 👹👹@manchesterunited.”

And Gary Neville added his best wishes, commenting on Harvey’s post: “🔴⚪⚫ well done Harvey !! ❤”
