Tyson Fury accuses Love Island of being a ‘fix’ after brother Tommy Fury didn’t win

Tyson Fury has declared that he thinks Love Island is a ‘fix’ because his brother Tommy Fury didn’t win it.

The ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion’s younger sibling appeared on the reality show over the summer and won over fans with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

The pair made it to the final, but only finished as runners up, much to Tyson’s dismay.

Fury told BT Sport: “I think he done really well on the thing and I think it was a fix that he never got it for whatever reason.

“I think he’s a lot more popular, him and his girlfriend are a lot more popular than the two who won it.

“But you never know, you don’t know what happens in these things.

“I think it was a fix to be fair, but look, let him do what he’s gotta do and I wish him all the best.”

Following his return to real life from reality TV, Tommy Fury quickly denied speculation he would quit boxing.

The 2-0 light-heavyweight is already back in the gym and planning a return, though his older brother has insisted that the sport is not for everyone.

Tyson continued: “He’s a boxing man and that’s it.

“I hope he can do well at it, but if he can’t, he can’t. Boxing ain’t for everybody.

“Boxing’s the hardest thing in the world to do and not everyone can become a champion.

“But listen I hope he makes plenty of money out of whatever he does in life and I hope he becomes happy because that’s the most important thing.”
