Sergey Kovalev insults fans who thought he could beat Canelo

Kovalev has claimed having consecutive camps in short succession (two for the rescheduled Anthony Yarde fight and one for Canelo) made his KO defeat a foregone conclusion.

He hit back at critical boxing fans on social media: “Given the conditions, it was impossible to win.

“You are ignoramuses since you thought I could win.

“I climbed into this weight with torment & sleepless nights. Because it was a financially interesting offer”

Manny Pacquiao next fight information

Manny Pacquiao’s fight is being planned for late March or April 2020, with Mikey Garcia and Danny Garcia named as the two target opponents.

The legendary eight-weight champion picked up another title as he defeated Keith Thurman to claim the WBA welterweight crown in July.

And, despite approaching his 41st birthday, Pacquiao is showing no signs of a retirement plan.

MP Promotions representative Sean Gibbons told ESPN that the Filipino Senator’s next fight will come during his next lengthy break from political duties – when the Senate is on recess in March/April.

Gibbons then reaffirmed that Mikey Garcia and Danny Garcia (no relation) are the two possible opponents being eyed.

Oscar Rivas to work with Eddie Hearn?

This is still unconfirmed as things stand, but Rivas’ original promoter Yvon Michel reportedly stated on French-Canadian radio station 91.9 Sports today that the Canada based heavyweight will return on January 30 in Miami.

It was previously known that Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom and Bob Arum’s Top Rank had tabled rivalling offers to sign Rivas to a co-promotional deal alongside Michel.

Today’s news appears to indicate that they might’ve taken the Hearn option, as the British promoter is planning a show headlined by Tevin Farmer vs Jojo Diaz for January 30 in Miami.
