Andy Ruiz Jr says he’ll refuse Anthony Joshua rematch in UK
Ruiz told TMZ Sports: “I haven’t talked to him, but I’m pretty sure he’s training hard for the rematch and so am I.
“I want the rematch to be in Mexico or New York City again, Vegas, or here [in LA].”
When asked what happens if Joshua doesn’t agree to this, Ruiz replied: “It doesn’t matter because I’m the champion… I’m calling the shots… We’re the A-side.”
Regarding whether he’d be open to fighting Joshua on away soil, the champion simply replied: “No UK.”
Dillian Whyte to appear on Celebrity MasterChef
Whyte will take part in the new series of Celebrity MasterChef this summer to finally show everyone he’s the real Dill.
The heavyweight contender is taking a bit of time out of the boxing ring to spend more time in the kitchen where he will compete in an all-star line-up which also includes another boxing figure.
Former manager/promoter Kellie Moloney (before known as Frank Moloney) is in the cast too, as are ex-footballer Neil Ruddock and Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford.
Frank Warren gives updates on Billy Joe Saunders, Anthony Yarde
Saunders will return at the Copper Box in London this September, according to Frank Warren on iFL TV.
With Callum Smith having turned down the unification offer, they’re seeking a “top ten” opponent for the WBO super-middleweight champion.
The promoter added that an announcement for Anthony Yarde will be made during the Dubois vs Gorman show on Saturday.
When asked about talk of Sergey Kovalev facing Canelo instead, Warren replied: “Talk is cheap.”
Biter Kash Ali wants David Price rematch
“The truth is that nobody really knows. It was just starting to get interesting,” Ali told Sky about the fight he lost by bite disqualification in March.
“Apart from the bite it was give and take, a decent fight. He was starting to fade before the incident.
“With me, there is a question mark. People will wonder ‘is he better than that?’
“I would love to fight him again. It would be a massive rematch.”
Floyd Mayweather assures Anthony Joshua he can bounce back from Andy Ruiz defeat
When asked about the heavyweight upset, Mayweather told TMZ: “Can he bounce back? Absolutely.
“Like I said before, in the sport of boxing, s*** happens.”
