Boxing news: ‘Anything could happen’ – Frank Warren admits he doesn’t want Tyson Fury to do WWE

Frank Warren has exclusively told talkSPORT that he would prefer it if Tyson Fury wasn’t wrestling in the WWE.

The ‘Gypsy King’ had an altercation with Braun Strowman at SmackDown on Friday night and followed it up on Monday Night Raw with an announcement expected imminently for the pair to perform in Saudi Arabia.

This all comes in the aftermath of Fury’s win over Otto Wallin – in which he was pushed into a tougher bout than expected due to a gruesome cut.

While that injury is healing, most were expecting the ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion to take things easy, however Fury of course has other ideas.

His co-promoter Warren told talkSPORT’s Dom McGuinness: “You know, one clash of heads, anything could happen.

“He’s got his heart set on doing it, I’d prefer him not to do it, I’ll tell you straight.

“If he is gonna do it, then doing it without just coming off of that injury to his eye, but he is doing it and that’s Tyson.

“Tyson loves it, he’s a showman, that’s what he is. I think four million people watched it.

“He’s building that profile, so that when the big fight happens – the rematch with Wilder, providing Wilder comes through his rematch with Luis Ortiz – that’s gonna be something special.”

You can listen to full interviews with Frank Warren and Josh Warrington on talkSPORT Fight Night – 8pm this Saturday evening.
